If this kid wasn't a Brit, NOBODY would be talking about him. He's 'just ok', at best. Personally, and I'm no expert, I don't think he deserves a MotoGP ride next year unless he pulls off something SPECTACULAR this year. Bring us the girl who just won Daytona! You'll see more US fans and sponsors. The sport needs it. Bradley Smith... pshaaaa

Why shouldn't Crash.net talk about a Brit racer, they are after all a British based business (Silverstone). Let the US racing websites big up the US racers, the Italian sites the Italians, the German sites the Germans etc..

Labelling Smith as 'just ok' is a bit unfair. He was a leading light in 125 until he got a bit too big.

Personally I have to wonder if his career is being held back somewhat by the Tech 3 built Mistral, which is undoubtedly less competitive than the Suter & Kalex. Don't get me wrong, Guy Coulon is brilliant mind. His personal creations are works of art, but he's competing against specialized chassis builders providing bikes to multiple teams. Suter and Kalex in particular have more resources and receive far more data due to their supply of that many teams. Can't help but think it's a noble, yet losing battle.

EDIT: However I just remembered that his Moto2 deal reportedly guarantees him an imminent MotoGP ride. Guess that's reason to stay. Though if it's a CRT, and CRT's flop this year, maybe not. Who knows?

RacerX you are such a ****** to make statements like this and will you other muppets get it into your head he is by far not the tallest guy in the paddock by a long shot. He didnt quit 125 because of his height and if you look at his results in 125 you will soon figure out what he could do and what he was allowed to do are 2 totally different things

Bradley Smith is one of those riders that just gets on with his job - racing! Bradley has a very smooth riding style, doesn't jump in and take the obvious risk, but weighs his situation up in a very calculated way to make sure he gets the best result possible. Do not underestimate this young lad as he is the kind of rider that is quite silent, but can be quite deadly!!
