Ah, common fellas, give Rossi a break. I can guarantee he'll be in the low 1:39 range come Sunday. After all it's a new bike made by a company that's never hardly ever raced before.

Unfortunaltley come Sunday the top riders will be in the low to mid 1:37's.

Hayden's kind of a ok rider, but Rossi will beat his time in the long run.

rossi only 0.2 ahead of de puniet. wouldnt be suprised if he doesnt see the season out with his "DREAM PARTNERSHIP" and before you all jump on me about it being testing day one blah blah blah,he is nearly 2 seconds behind the from man,he may get faster but the front runners are likely to even faster still,if you look at the final timesheet today and think he still has a chance your in cloud cookoo land.

"testing times prove nothing.. "

@an4rew

Oh really? Maybe so in F1 were the times are all over the place with teams working with different fuel loads and aero packages but not so in MotoGP. There are no "surprise" front runners. If it hasn't been seen in testing you won't see it in the races. No one is going from middle of the pack in testing to leading races in a couple of weeks. At the end of this test who ever is fast will be fast in Qatar and who ever is slow will be slow in Qatar. Strange that I actually have to explain that......

Given the amount of bad publicity and negative feelings with a team that placing poorly in testing generates, surely those riders with the ability to do so would put in at least one fast lap to demonstrate their competitive pace to all the naysayers?

Casey will be strong this year just like last, the other thing is JL will be stronger this year than last year. Ben will be in the mix and if pedros stays healthy he will be in there. In my opinion it will all depend on who stays healthy and who does not crash and miss races will win the championship. I am also a Rossi fan and you guys are right testing doesnt mean much. But Rossi's days are almost over and yes i Know he is on a brand new bike and all the excuses rossi fans make. I think he is dried out and doesnt want it anymore. Everyone else on the grid is hungrier then rossi. But we will see Qatar who knows maybe he will surprise us all.
