MotoGP » Valentino Rossi still far from the 'front'

“I can't load the front enough to enter fast, so I don't carry enough speed through the corner, and that's why we're far from the front”- Valentino Rossi.

Look how wide his handle bars are! Must be a real bitch to change direction if he needs all that leverage! Bet he runs in deep, has a massive counter steer to apex and hit the gas, over to you traction control. Just a guess? Perhaps a GSXR1100 slabside in streetfighter trim? Turbo optional.

To be that far back at this track, to have Nicky (who's still not likely 100%) over .4s ahead with a group of riders breathing down his neck is a clear sign.

Vale needs the shrink. After all the years of mind games JLo and Casey have got him convinced he can't beat them and now he is just afraid to try. How many different chassis and setups have had no front end feel "so he can begin to push"?

What Rossi is delivering is results based on his pure natural talent. His will and determination are gone and that is what Ducati needs most and is paying for. How could the Dream Team get it so wrong?

If this contineus, you have to wonder who will leave Ducati 1st, Rossi or Desmo? I mean in any major sports team when things dont improve they always fire somebody? I know Rossi has a 2 year contract but still is a winner, and he wants #10 and it does not look like thats gona happan this year... soo... does he stay? or do they fire the top engineers and start over (again)? or does he start his own crt team in 2014 when motogp mandates that all bikes have to be be the same...

I understand that Sete, Max, Casey and Jorge have been working in disguise as Ducati 'mechanics.'

All the years of nasty arrogance have come home to roost.
Payback (and Karma) can be a real bitch! :)

The front end problem will only go away once they abandon the 90deg. V angle.
No matter how far you rotate it, you simply can't move it's CG close enough to the front wheel to be ideal.
I hope the three month wait for new parts, is actually a narrow angle V engine. I can't imagine what other part would take three months.
Ducati, Rossi, Burgess wasted valuable time concentrating on the chassis, instead of designing a new engine from the beginning.

@fred1

thats what you get for listening to crash experts and not the riders or engineers... and im pretty sure casey and nicky both said carbon wasnt the problem... lots of people like to put words in their mouths... they say carbon doesnt work for making a chassis but everyone in F1 does... they said the same about the trellis frame... its not either one of those materials its the design
