MotoGP » Valentino Rossi still far from the 'front'

“I can't load the front enough to enter fast, so I don't carry enough speed through the corner, and that's why we're far from the front”- Valentino Rossi.

To all those people thinking that Rossi is to old to win another championship take note that not only were agostini and doohan winning races at age 33 but one championships at that age. The reason for no sucess thus far is a combination of a difficult bike, which Hayden seems gone reasonably competitive on,competition from alot of talented riders and his seemingly astounding inability to ride a less then perfect bike at a competitive level. Shame is that if ducati don't suceed this year they will possibly pull the pin and focas on a cheaper form of racing.

dear diary... today, everyone was mad

i for one have been a stoner fan since he slung a leg over the KTM... been an edwards fan since his superbike days, cheered hayden on when nobody said he could win the title... still cheer on both of them... my boy Ben finally made it to the top after watching him his whole career... i have cheered for a lot of riders but never rossi, its easy to cheer for the guy that wins all the time but true fans cheer for riders for no certain reason sometimes we just think he is just a good guy and we want to see him do good... ill cheer for my riders through thick and thin.... but ive never cared for rossi, people hating on JLO for his antics, lol, where do you think he got it from rossi used to do the same thing thats why i never cared for him, its easy to jump on the band wagon when its winning, its harder to explain the derailment

re: "I hope the three month wait for new parts, is actually a narrow angle V engine."

you want that they should change an ENTIRE ENGINE PROGRAM all over a tyre...? it'd be easier and cheaper for bridgestone (who's currently moving the goal posts with the faster warm-up compounds anyway) to produce a special carcass front (or a set) and offer it to everybody. someone besides ducati (think CutRaTes) may also find it to their liking.

Legend,

You keep mentioning number of comments on a stupid forum as some sort of racing metric. I will make it simple for you to understand.

Which would you look at longer when traveling down a freeway.

A car that sped past you out of the blue and disappeared into the distance

or...

A car that slid off the pavement, rolled 18 times and burst into flames?

Now for the matching game, which scenario best describes Lorenzo and Stoner and which best applies to the Yellow and Red disaster?

@legend
you mad bro... you way mad,and whats your point

if anything the amount of rossi comments shows how many rossi fans cant deal with reality and refuse to be realistic and troll the hell out of crash arguing every little statement ever made

Ben Spies will do well this year, i think both factory riders at yamaha and honda will all win races this year... if you watched the interview with JLO he almost seems nervous talking about the difference in style and how it suites Ben better now... problly just my optimism but anyways... there ya go legend... a Ben Spies post, add that to your tally

A bit like timing sheets eh? You are adding to this "stupid forum" by being suckered in to these stupid results of silly posts I keep posting the results of eh?

Do you not see how stupid these forums are? I post figures of Rossi Vs haters figures and you rise to them! Do you not once take a step back and say "Shheees, I REALLY need to get a life?"

I do, and you should do too!

@monster
Understand true motogp fans want exciting battles at the front and Rossi has supplied more than any other current rider. I love Stoner, Superman Troy even more, Ben, Jorge, dani, Cal, Dovi- the whole bunch. But keep in mind, when posters throw stoners, maybe they need to be reminded why so many love Val, a legend. Consider some stats Val vs Casey, most consecutive starts V 230 vs C ? Nervous poop in pants, podiums V175 vs C79, GP Wins V105 vs C40, world titles V9 vs C2. No disrespect to Stoner but understand why most people love and follow Val. We are watching history in the making while Stoner currently falls in the middle of a statistical/historical long list of unknowns/nobodies. It is what it is and we are not "moaning" but happy & excited about this season. Attack comments that completely ignore facts are fairly ignorant.
