MotoGP » 'Pleased' Valentino Rossi bins 'bad setup'

“We made some mistakes at Sepang II chasing a bad set-up. We changed the set-up, first the rear and then the front, and now I enter the corners pretty well again” – Valentino Rossi.

Oh, and BMW has been providing their tele-lever system for many years on large production bikes. This is a forkless system, although discussed to look conventional. It really works, too.

The Friday test result was very worrying for the Rossi camp. Brilliant to see that they have sorted the setup issue out.

These guys are back on track with development again.

Maybe we won't have another boring season again. But on the other side it is interesting to see Rossi struggling like he did in 2006 and 2007.

I understand what you are trying to say but in reality Rossi is MILES behind Dani and Jorge - not just Stoner. After Dani's first 2 laps and after Jorges 1st lap they were in the 1'40's for the the whole run of 27 laps. BLAH BLAH BLAH

@Rawdawg..? ever heard of development?

How far behind Honda and Yamaha do you think Ducati is with developing smart guy?

Rossi and Ducati are back on track which explains why there are a few Rossi knockers who are not commenting. They hate to see Rossi happy. And the others like you @Rawdawg can't help posting irrational comments because Rossi has got to you.

The Rossi FACTOR seems to have an effect on more than just the other riders..hehehe

And it is trully amazing to see the effect of all the Rossi haters on the man himself... N O T

Quality come through...almost allways.

I've been caught out many times chasing setup and going too long down the wrong path. That being said, it's surprising that it's happened to Rossi and his team given what their caliber is supposed to be. Tells me they're only used to working with gear that's close to perfection. It didn't take much to shift them from 'masters of setup and development' to 'turns out we're not as good as we were making out'. Got to hand it to Stoner and his team. They performed miracles with the Ducati machine.

"to all stoner fans....remember laguna seca? haha"
Posted by liam

Which Laguna Seca are you referring to?
Last years Laguna when Stoner pulled off those two incredible overtakes on Lorenzo and Pedrosa? Or are you referring to the good old days when Stoner had the Ducati up front fighting for race wins, instead of dawdling around in mid pack as it is today?

Great times Liam! thanks for reminding us of them :)
