Typical. People complain for ages about the direction the series is taking and how it isn't developing more sponsors and promoting itself properly. Then the BBC reaffirms it's commitment to Moto GP and the whinging starts.

A tiny percentage of the UK population has Eurosport, and pretty much the entire Moto GP viewer list is currently commenting on this thread. The Beeb gives the sport an audience Dorna loves and that Eurosport can only dream of.

As for Cox, I think he and Parrish are fantastic. The banter between the two of them makes many a dull race exciting

Moody, Ryder and Mamola. That was an amazing team.

Then Eurosport lost the MotoGP contract. National outcry! Ryder and Moody got their jobs back and spent the next year being so arrogant and full of themselves (Mamola had moved on) that I almost preferred the BBC comentary. Bit better now (Especially with Neil Spalding) but Ryder is still too arrogant plus they spend SOOO much time banging on about Twitter and ignoring what's going on on-screen (especially during 125cc/Moto2 qualifying and practice. When Mamola left, the balance was left.

Best UK commentators? Whitham and Bernicle. James Haydon is good too!

My god. Can't stand Cox (That's shot the fox/Nightmare in a bubblecar).

Moody and Ryder are a laugh, and who doesn't love Spladers' punditry (to 3 decimal places)? Spladers quote after Rossi took Stoner out at Jerez '11 : "Never thought I would see Stoner have a Ducati front end crash again"! Perfect!

Got a lot of time for Jack Burnicle, but his knowledge ends at Superbikes.

"Got a lot of time for Jack Burnicle, but his knowledge ends at Superbikes. "

Yes that's true, but he's sooo enthusiastic about bikes (he commentates on the Trial Bike shows too). Whitham is hilarious and rips the p155 out of jack all the time (in a very affectionate way). Those 2 are great together.

Anyone remember the race where Moody was not there and Jack Burnicle commentated with Julian Ryder on a MotoGP race. Jack was a bit rusty but Ryder pretty much humiliated him and patronised him at every turn. He was really mean. That's why I think Ryder is a d1ck...

(an amazing race by the way)

Best of Burnicle and Whitham - Phillip Island

These guys are funny as hell. If you are not from the UK you might have trouble understanding what Whitham says, but it's gold!
