Stoner's oviously relishing the opportunity to retain that #1 plate this year without having to overide his kit as in 2008/9 and 10.
Not that the Ducati was ever uncompetitive back then, but it was a half a second/lap slower piece of kit compared with the Yamaha. Casey made the difference.
Why do I get the feeling its going to yet again be Casey's grit and tallent vs Yamaha supremacy this season ? :)

If I was on the best new bike with all riders on doing well and just coming off a championship of course I'd be excited to. Stoner fanboys don't get too gready as a season is long and anything can happen. Remember nothing is guaranteed. Let's hope it's a competive season no matter who you route for.

I knew I shouldn't have read this thread,It's Casey this and Casey that, how wonderful he is.It really does get boring after awhile.
Yes he is a brilliant rider but nobody can argue about his lack of charisma and personality.
Lets hope he stops whinging or is that just an Australian trait.
Anyway I wish him all the best for this season.

Fred,i have read some sh*t on this forum over the last few seasons but you just took the title mate!
Rossi is in a mess because Stoner couldnt develop the bike!
Since when was it Stoners job to develop the bike for Rossi?
Rossi is the God of bike development right?
At least thats what we are constantly told.Yet in a whole season to "develop" the bike he did diddley squat with it!
How many incarnations did they try?
And how many victories did they achieve?
Hmmm, me thinks Rossi dug himself into this hole not Stoner!
Now how is that Stoners fault exactly?

I cant wait to see casey win a title on the yamaha, clearly the best bike and has been on rails for the past few years. Maybe the 2012 championship on the hrc then an easy year to bow out with a 2013 yamaha title .

Hey some of you guys, go back to watching your soap operas and let the racers race. No wonder the TV producers have tailored so many "reality" shows to the silly confrontational drama queen mentality. If you're so bored maybe try racing instead of internet pissing matches.

Calm down people...it's only the first race and you know who will be up there...in the mean time, sign up for some track days so you can practice and have fun with your bike (if you have any) :)

Renost.Thats not as silly a suggestion as it may sound.People harp on about the Honda, but lets not forget that Lorenzo would have retained the title last year for Yamaha if not for Stoner!
The Yamaha is a great package as Lorenzo proved and i too would one day like to see Stoner take a title on it!
Put him on it this year and i know where my money would be.I think Stoner is capable of winning a title on it no problem.

Darn, the whole competition (riding Honda and Yamaha) destroyed itself trying to keep up with this bloke. Now some folks say it was the bike?
What body part those people are using for thinking?
