Good first days work by Casey and Jorge.Both pretty much where we expected them to be.Great effort from Nicky to lift the spirits in the Ducati camp.Well done to Cal too.I hope to see a better season from him in 2012.
Interesting to see Jorge was quickest in the final sector despite the Honda being 3mph faster down the straight.I wonder if that will be a deciding factor come Sunday!
Still,early days yet,lets not get over excited.

Doesn't matter if they used soft tires. It will be a night race so the track won't be as hard on tires as you believe. However, I wish these meatheads would stop calling the race after the first practice session. What a bunch of dingbats. On to the Masters...

R ducati sandbagging but nickeys let the cat out of the bag ! the old valentino usually had quarter of a second on nicky on average, no disrespect to nicky, hope hes got the bike he deserves this year. Or has rossi really lost it !

Indeed, rossi and hayden will use the free practice sessions to test different bike set-ups. I think rossi was on the harder compound of the bridgestones if i saw correctly. Hayden for sure was on soft tires... Tomorrow we will see rossi closing the gap with the front runners... As a stated earlier, midseason the duc will be a race winning machine...

@horsewithnoname

He's not sandbagging, he's trying out some new set ups since Ducati ran out of time in testing. As per last season we'll only really know where Rossi is at come the race

Everyone so excited about Crutchlow & Hayden! Jeesh! It's only the 1st practice! As far as Hayden tho, it bodes extremely well for Rossi, as it shows where he could be once it turns serious during an actual race. I'm a "yank" & want the best for my countrymen, but do expect Rossi to top his team mate, as usual.
