If we are going by trends, Rossi is about 1.5secs behind the top guys. The top guys will continue to close in on the lap record as the track improves and the Ducati's will struggle to keep improving their pace.
I hope I am wrong, cause I would love to see more competition at the front but....
And for Hayden. Great for him. He lost alot of testing time and I think the engine capacity has helped him be more competitive for sure.

Hoppy raised a good point.Lorenzo was quicker than Stoner in the final sector. If he can maintain that during qualifying,it may well make a big impact on the race result. If it comes to a last corner drag race i would have difficulty calling it.The Honda did pass the speed trap 3MPH faster than the Yamaha, but the speed trap is a fair way after the finish line.
If Stoner and Lorenzo are neck and neck coming out of the final bend then it will be down to pure grunt as to who wins.

Lol, who needs a "super engine" when you can't turn without loosing the front?

Why don't post the times on the curvy sections of the track?

This isn't drag racing dude.

I truly feel Stoner was sandbagging most of FP1 trying different setups but had to lay it down at the end to show he's still the man to beat. Rossi was for sure building a giant sand wall for Ducati as he was sandbagging the whole time waiting for Hayden to test his setup for him!javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':?')

You guys just need to calm da F down, he is not looking for times just yet. Its only testing guys:

“At Losail it will be very important to work well during the sessions leading up to qualifying so that we can increase our confidence step by step as we approach Saturday, always trying to maximize our potential." VR.

When i read all of these comments, i assume that a lot of you guys work in the pitlane... Why should ducati even bother to lesten to their riders or let ingeneers doing their work... The ducati people should just read crashnet... The only correct thing to say about the teams is that we'll only know what they are during when all of these guys start racing... Good luck to all the riders... I only hope for the sake of motogp an tension during the long season that ducati can speed up!

Why getting a hard on about top speed is totally STUUUPPIIIDDD. Unless you're into pinks and other drag stuff on Speedtv.

Stoner is fourth on the list but he is in front of all and Lorenzo is almost at the bottom but he's 2nd. The fastest stright line riders won't be able to touch these 2 with a mile long stick on every year.

Posting top speeds doesn't show you're wiser but the opposite. Lol.
