Great motogp season opening weekend!!!
Looks like we will finally have a competitive season, the Italian bikes gp12 and M1 are looking strong. I suspect Rossi may out wit Honda once again and just hope Stoner can fight at the front and all stay injury/nervous belly/little balls free.
There will be lots of excitement and surprises this year! LIVE ACTION!!!!

Hi
If pintos speed numbers are correct how fast is the Ducati Engine, if you have a skip of a bike like that and you can't corner properly and still get that speed, wow, if Ducati get their finger out the Ducati might be a force to reckon with, and the Yamaha riders are doing really well concidering:)
Cheers Claes

The whole Top speed issue has been beat to death but it does serve to highlight exactly why the CRT's stand a snowballs chance in Quatar of running with the the Factory or Sat bikes, hear at least. Edwards was actually fastest of them at 315kph. So that is about the same gap from Colin to Spies at 326 as Spies to Barbera at 336. But the Best CRT lap time is 3 seconds off the pace of those guys and barely ahead of the Moto2 bikes. Ellison is going to have a tough weekend.

Kiss my a**. Stoner fans been watching since when? Please.

I'm a Stoner fan and have been watching since 1987. I was 8. That's when I started riding also. The best thing you can do right now is learn to deal with it. He is already a great, yes one of the best EVER. He is simply that good, and you can't even compare him with any of the greats really, because his abilities are so unique. Perhaps a Freddie Spencer is appropriate. But it's plain to see, no one has ever been so fast on anything you throw under him, from the LCR, to the steel and carbon Ducs, to the Repsol Honda. He's simply incredible, so just enjoy it, like I did when Doohan and Rossi were the "best". That Lorenzo kid is pretty amazing too...Good luck to all the riders on sunday, and enjoy the racing guys!!! I know the "real" fans will regardless of outcomes!

re: "Hector BARBERA DUCATI 337.2"

as we see, that ducati engine is a beast. deep into the double ton on satellite kit on a green track (wtf). narrowing the V doesn't fetch them this kind of performance. as i mentioned in the past, the engine's fine... all's they need is a frame/chassis for the corners. they could've built a 1/2 dozen trellis' in the time they have to wait for this next ally spar (june). i wonder if this is a ducati issue...? or an FTR issue...?

Rossi fans will interpret anything as a positive result for VR. He will come 5th or 6th in the race and it will be hailed as a great achievement that demonstrates how much better than everyone else he is. VR... virtual reality

Another popular website provides the top speeds for this practice session. Eleven riders exceeded 200mph. Barbara went the fastest at 209mph. Bautista and Abraham were second & third fastest, respectively. Others in the top 11 include Stoner, Rosssi, Hayden, Pedrosa, Bradl, Dovizioso, Lorenzo, and Spies. While you shouldn't get too excited about straight line speed, except in drag racing, faster than 200mph is fast!!
