Anyone know what the difference is between the Tech3 and Factory bikes? I'm assuming their not running the 800 engines from last year since this is the first year for the 1000's. Are they running the same engines and the everything else is last years stuff for Tech3?

Cal said on TV today that the bike's chassis and running gear is basically the same as last year, but the new 1000cc motor gives different characteristics.
I also recall reading somewhere that Dovi's bike will be factory spec, and Cal's almost factory spec. This makes Cal's performance in beating Dovi in FP3 even more outstanding.
Dog maybe the underdog, but he WILL have his day.

With Bradley Smith arriving in tech3 in 2013 , both cal and dovi's contract up at the end of this season and also with Spies's contract up this year....

Dont think Ben is going to be allowed to many off days this year!

The real challenge for Cal is to improve his race form. Last year started with hints of talent, but that all seemed to evaporate along with his confidence.

His pre-season has obviously been excellent. He just needs to stay calm in the race and not feel the need to over push as he did last year. Build some solid results, and he'll be piling the pressure on Dovi to keep his ride.
