Although Rossi's performance is very poor he still earns the most !!! He needs to make the most of it to top up his pension ,he will not be in a good negotiating position for his next contract ( If anyone wants him )

Just read the Stoner interview and at no stage did he slag off the Honda or the team. There's some dudes on here telling lies.

Seems that new tyres are the biggest problem causing more chatter and doubly worse if they are the soft option. So it sounds like that when the tyres wear the chatter reduces so maybe Stoner will get quicker as the race progresses.

After a good qualifying poerformance I expect Nicky to throw it away by starting on soft tires just to look impressive at the start of the race, just like last year at indy.

"We've got a lot of work to do tonight," said Stoner. "We're going to have to go across everything that we did over these last few days and try and come up with something.

"We need something for the warm-up before the race tomorrow, otherwise it's going to be a long hard slog with this bike."

Cal has by far produce the best performance, with Bradel doing a great job. Lorenzo looks to have his mojo back.Rossi was very late putting soft's on. All weekend they have appeared to be going there own direction, and as someone else said, mainly utilised old hards. Wonder if they are convinced there is going to be major tyre drop off, and therefore are working to a different strategy. It's happened in the past when tyre wear has kicked in,those looking slow over one lap have suddenly come good due to setup in the race. Hayden also goes for a different balance / weight distribution than Rossi. W e have seen Hayden have good qualifying and have wrecked tyres come the race after a few laps.Lets wait and see. If the qualifying does indicate Rossis true potential, then maybe he doesn't want it or can't give it anymore. It does not take away his prior achievements.

Rossi's performance just does not make any sense. Last year testing the 1000 he said it was more fun and slightly better handling. Then he gets within a second at two of the most recent tests. But then today oh my god - slower than his FP3 time with the fastest bike through the speedtraps!
