'I had to push more than 100% to make pole position but I pushed to the limit and managed to make a perfect lap' - Jorge Lorenzo

Ah well, they started their BS campaign right at the very first meeting. From the BBC HD article on Crash.net several days ago "Live qualifying coverage of the 2012 MotoGP season, plus the Moto3 and Moto2 races, will all be available to view on the BBC red button and BBC online (UK users only)."

As far as I could see today Red Button was Golf, Football, Cycling and the National Lottery! As ever BBC MotoGP coverage talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. As ever..and as other posters spookily predicted...Golf wins the day.

Apols for slightly Off Topic but I wanted to see this (Qualifying) on my TV today. BBC - total wind-up merchants.

Dfunnie,
top speed is a nice thing to have but it does not win races, perhaps you have noticed there are turns on the racetrack. Braking stability, corner speed, acceleration while leaning, these are the major factors and will gain you tenths of seconds while top speed can buy you hundreds of a second.

Congrats to Lorenzo for rocking Pole, however I think title is still going to Stoner because the Honda will be noticeably faster once the chatter is fixed.

If Stoner doesn't crash out by trying to push the chatter bike too hard he'll have enough points to make up for this non-win and next race's non-win once the chatter is gone.

Lorenzo riding the bike to the max is only +.2 ahead of Stoner on the chatter bike riding safely.

Once the problems are fixed Stoner can probably get another +.4 from that Honda sinking Lorenzo and Yam to 2nd position.

Man, I hope this season is good,

SO glad we're back to 1k bikes!

At last, a Yamaha that seems to be the equal of the Honda. Now we'll see just how good Casey is, because I'm certain between Lorenzo and Stoner, Jorge is the better racer.
Re: Jorge delighted at Crutchlow's position, could someone show me the quote where he mentions that, or is it patriotic reporting that swept it in?

Well done Jorge mate take it to Stoner all season, as on other posts I think if you keep him under pressure the entire race for the entire season he will make mistakes and you now have machine parity so just do it. Plus I have to pin my colours to your mast as if rely on Rossi I will be that sad lonely guy at the end the bar talking to himself, which is tradgic on so many levels...

Better watch it Catch Up will interprete this as me wanting Stoner to die...
