"Tosland was not good enough and it looks like Ben cant keep up with his team mate, Time to give someone else a try."

@Bens Pies

So by your own logic since Cal was beaten by Edwards and couldn't "keep up" with Colin then Cal should have been fired.

Do shut up now.

Cal will be lucky to finish in front of Dani, Dovi, Casey, Lorenzo, & Ben. All five have proven race pace/rhythm, Cal has proven fast and has finished well at least once last year, but hes also known to crash. I rate him 6th for tomorrow, he has a shot at 4th if he watches his tires, 3rd or better if some freak accident happens.

re: "I was trying to get away from the bike when I was sliding, something got caught up and I went with it. I was looking at the front wheel for a while and thought about trying to get back on when I couldn't get away from it!"

just think, this sounds EXACTLY like the account from the garages at sepang we would've heard from simo, that is, if fate hadn't decided to intervene that day in october. :?

if you had been watching you would see Spies had just went out on softs and was dead even with lorenzos pole time before he lost it... to say he is slow and cant keep up with his team mate is ignorant, he lost he last 12 minutes of qp when everyone was throwing down or else he may have been first or second... zoom out on the blinders and look at the big picture and just what you want to see... i know thats a lot to ask of anyone about anything these days

Lorenzo's pole time came AFTER Spies crashed... Stoner also raised the bar before Lorenzo took the pole. I say Spies would've still been around half a second slower than Lorenzo because Spies always loses out in the third and fourth sectors where you need corner speed, and Spies doesn't do corner speed.

Im not sure how many of you have raced but I wouldnt put to much into what has happened in the first practice or qualy of the year. Ben had a bad day and you want to give Cal his bike. Cal didnt do much last year or in wsbk. Ben had some good results last year and will again this year. Rossi,same thing give him a chance its round 1. Rossi has been a great racer for years and if he is losing his edge let him do it with grace. No one on this site could do better.

Good luck Spies i never doubted you will have a bike setup right you will deliver it. by far you are gentle yet aggressive driver i saw in WSBK, if you have you can download the video on San Marino Race 1 from wet in 10 place and when the you change from wet to slicks blow everybody around and get the 1st podium. dont lose your confidence men 1000cc is starting nows your chance...
