for one... its utterly lame watching the flyweights fly past the heavier guys at will on the straights

and yes this tough sport but what most top racers have in common is respect for one another... which Marquez does not have...

im all for rough passes and hard racing but that wasnt a hard pass he just straight up ran him off track... if he had slid up the inside and touched a little thats one thing... but when you swerve out and cut the guy off forcing him to off track thats a little dirty... really Luthi did a hell of a job just to hold onto it, its not easy braking on the curbing that hard... marquez could have easily left him room but for whatever reason he either just wasnt thinking or didnt care... problly both... if it was the other way around people would be coming unglued

It would be semi-acceptable if that was a one-off by Marquez, but it isn't, he's got history, put Willarot in hospital at PI last year for example.....he needs to develop some respect for his fellow competitors and some understanding of his own and others mortality....this is a dangerous sport and dangerous riding should not be acceptable, we have all seen the consequences of when it goes wrong. There should be sanctions, a yellow card system or something, to bring to account riders that overstep the bounds of reasonable behaviour....I hope Lutrhi's team make a protest to bring this to a head.

Marquez is lighter than average. According to motogp.com hes 1 kg heavier than pol, and only 5 kilos lighter than Luthi, whom he was toying with down the straight. I would say the fuel Marc was using was more relevant to the speed advantage he had rather than a few kilos.

"marc was agressive, a legal move but not good sportsmanship.. maybe im wrong? whats your opinion rawdawg?"

Glad you asked! lol

Yes it was a legal move but Marquez needs to keep his head about himself. Early in the race he chopped across Iannone as well. He is slip streaming well but it's not like he has a 50hp advantage and blowing by riders. He doesn't wait until he is clear of the riders he pass and just chops then off. Someone needs to show him the tape so he can see that he almost took the front wheel from up under Iannone and Luthi.

No penalty is necessary but he needs a talking to.

@Raw, what Marc did to Iannone was dangerous, what he did to Luthi was contemptible and endangered him. Marc pushed Luthi off the track in a braking zone. Luthi was lucky not to hit the astro turf and fall like Shoya did.
