I like Nicky, I always have. He seems to have a lot of fans at the moment too. Where were these current fans when he was ahead of Casey for half the season? Why weren't they clamouring for Hayden to be #1 in the team then?
Ducati said that they would be using different strategies between Nicky, Rossi, and the Satellite bikes to speed up development, so how can anyone say Rossi offloaded stuff on Nicky?
And Raw, friendly advice, save your Rossi hatred for Rossi threads.

I hope the weather stays fine and Hayden has a good test. If he does then it doesn't matter whether it's due to his own input, Rossi's input or Ducati's input. If the Duc moves forward, then so does Nicky and that puts someone else up the front. If that person is Nicky, or Rossi, or Barbera, or Karel, it makes no difference to me.

The reality is that most of the current Hayden fans on Crash.net are opportunists who change allegiances on the fly. The true Hayden fans know who they are, but most of these new "fans" aren't really fans at all. They are just anti-Rossi!

cheers, i am supporting Nicky since beginning of his carrer in Honda, for last few years he changed his behaviour, he is real hard worker, putting all the effort he has into every race weekend. From what i know, he really dont go for highest positions, he is moreless comfortable to be near the lading pack - thats for sure. Also, the is not as good as Stoner was on the Duc, neither Rossi is, that is valid for the future also...

So, let Nicky finish his test days he has in his contract, let wish him success, maybe he will find something interesting to get bike ride better.

Unfortunatelly for him and his manners, since MotoGp debut he was always in the shade of another team-mate, even in his winning 2006 year... :/

Thats his fate...

Ok ill post this up and aim it at people who think Rossi still 'has it'. So it seems some think Rossi is doing just fine with what he has and you think he is getting the most out of the Ducati?

So can you please explain why he is running around with Hayden and only 'just' beat him last year, and why he is currently the 3rd Ducati rider right now?

Do you honestly think that Stoner or Lorenzo would be running around with Hayden too?

Do you think that Hayden has taken a huge leap forward in terms of his performance since Rossi arrived with Ducati?

So, which one is it? For Rossi to be running around with Hayden must mean that either Hayden has massively improved to the level of Rossi, or Rossi has lost it and came down to the level of Hayden. It has to be one or the other, so which one is it guys?

Try harder than that. Rossi's public statements answer your initial question. OF COURSE he isn't doing fine, and he obviously wants to be winning races, otherwise he wouldn't be venting publicly. Did you forget how much testing Rossi was doing last season? Ducati evaluated so many parts last season that I have lost track. Yes, Rossi only edged Hayden out by a small margin, BUT that was including a multitude of crashes. Did you conveniently forget that? As for Stoner or Lorenzo, I'd wager that Stoner would get more out of the bike based on precedent, but don't think for a minute that Lorenzo wouldn't struggle on the Ducati.

As usual, the Big Moaner fans think, Hayden's **** is belong to their idol. Anything Hayden do should be slagged because it gave no benefit to their idol.

Hayden's data, Hayden's data, Hayden's data.

Oh why Hayden's data no longer works...?

Realist, hmmmmm. Double standards. You stated earlier that Stoner/Ducati FAILED in 2008 2009 and 2010, but lets not forget that Stoner had a multitude of crashes, did you conveniently forget that? Rossi crashed whislt battling for 6th, 7th, 8th places, whilst Stoner crashed whilst fighting for wins and podiums. But either way, if you crash, then you havnt done as well as the person who didnt crash, right?

Please answer the question.....
