RawD. It very easy to see why there was no mention of GP or Rossi. Since WSBK is based (loosely) on production bikes, it has real important relevance to the sales of bikes. And it's not because of "riders", but because winning TECHNOLOGY can be bought by the public. In spite of the lesser informed thinking that gp and/or Rossi sells bikes, which is patently untrue, the smart people at Audi know better. The gp project for ALL manufacturers, successful or otherwise doesn't sell jack-butkis, plain fact! Even if VR won the last 3 gp titles on a Duc, it still wouldn't get an Audi mention. Superbike is much more relevant. Selling bikes is always what it is all about.
Again, the Drama queens are making too big a deal on the hidden meaning toward Rossi and the gp team.

What brilliant news.
I just look at how Lamborghini has developed under Audi since they were bought years ago. They are still building mad cars.
I have no doubt Ducati will have the required investments and availability of technology to really move things on against the Japanese factories.
Theres been talk of Vw group wanting to buy Alfa Romeo too, and I for one would welcome that change of ownership too

Looks like Audi will insist on a Ducati quad bike just so they can have 4WD somewhere on all the brands they own.javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':p') Also does this mean the end of the Ferrari fun with Audi owning rival Lamborghini. Anyway Audi should bring a greater engineering assistance for the MotoGP team and will have learnt not to fiddle too much from their time with Lamborghini.

Hope Preziosi gets the chop, and about time time too. Hope Ducati can now start to build proper MotoGP race winning bikes, and focus more on substance over style.
Super bikes can wait a while.
