Colin Edwards has to be the saddest guy on that list. Beside Edwards, everyone has won at least 1 race.

That said Alex Barros career has be viewed as a failure. Guy had plenty of time to win at least one championship in Premiere class

@ANDY

Total of 7 wins spanning from 1990 to his exit in 2007. No Championship in 500cc nor Motogp nor other small classes.

Yes that is a failure

Barros, exactly like Capirossi was "A-" rider. Very competitive but not in the league of Doohan or Rossi. Had their opportunity during 1999-2000 when no dominating figure was around but obviously were on the wrong bikes or simply not fast & consistent enough. (Actually I don't remember if Barros was riding during those years but I suppose so).

Barros best chance for the championship was his 2 years at Suzuki, but all there attention was on Shwantz. The only other time he had full factory bike (Cagiva? never was good when he rode) was 2003 on the Yam, the one that Checa said if anyone can win on this years bike I will give them a blowjob. The rest of his time has been on Satellite bikes, even V twin for Gresini and an underfunded Kenamoto.
He was a very fast and hard rider, they used to refer to him as a roving road block because he was so good on the brakes no one could get past.

Stay in something long enough and anybody can do the most this and that, what matters is how much one achieves in the time they are doing something, rossi is behind others that have achieved far more.
