MotoGP » Rossi to become third member of 200 club

This Sunday at Jerez should see Valentino Rossi become only the third person in motorcycle grand prix history to clock 200 premier-class starts.

Rossi likes Jerez, and this being his 200th race, he'll have a bit of fun too.

He started in twelth, climbed to third, crashed out and still finished fifth last year!!! Forgetting the controversy, that would have been impressive, even in his prime days.

This is obviously therefore one of his strongest tracks. If he doen't do well here this weekend (at THE VERY LEAST fifth and above all other Duc riders), I think it will be a new low for him unfortunately.

He really needs a good result. If he even has a small chance of a podium this season, this is one of the few circuits where he might just pick one up.I just don't feel it happening though, which is sad but true.

@ pp

It must be great to qualify to call Barros a failure. I wish that I could've ridden a bike well enough to get well paid to race GP bikes all over the world for about 2 decades. All hail pp.

I'm not trying to get into a love hate childish argument here. But the same people who are sticking up for barros who never won a top tier championship, are the same people who slate valentino, who has won 7.

I know there are.different circumstances, and obviously.rossi.asking.to.ride.on.the.best kit.is blatantly cheating (ahem),.but it just seems like trolling and hating to me
