“Today we are happy with the practice,” commented the Italian. “I am back near the top and finish in second position.”

how can you be happy, happy because in the wet your bike does well....
Qatar was 36 seconds...

most funny thing is "I am back near the top"

Lotta talk in Hayden's interview on chassis stiffness. I'm still betting it is the weight distribution (engine form). When its dry, no tyre warm-up and no feeling. I the wet, the tyres are totally different and the forces produced by them are significantly less, and there is better feeliing despite the disadvantageous weight ditribution. When can we get the in-line 4, or something closer to it?

It is such an interesting circumstance for Ducati that the bike does BETTER in the wet. There are some serious engineering flaws (!??) going on with the GP. If VR is able to hard-charge and maintain it, that would be something worthy of mention.
