MotoGP » Lorenzo takes thrilling Jerez MotoGP pole

After 29 pole changes, Jorge Lorenzo finishes on top during qualifying for the Spanish MotoGP at Jerez.

Stoner is still the favourite for the title. But I predict he will struggle at tomorrow's race to make the podium (don't know why but he always strugges at Jerez and Estoril) which may give a good lead to Pedrosa and Lorenzo in the title fight...

I see it as a good thing to anyone who wants to have a close championship fight - Stoner will start to win races soon, but if he lags in the championship that will mean a good deal of suspense...

And talking about Rossi, as most do, nothing changes from my own views from way back: Rossi is over-the-hill, cannot react and wont react, the Ducati requires a younger rider that can change his ways of the past, but even his present disaster can take anything away from this 7 Motogp titles and countless motogp victories...

great quallies , there was still small patches of dampness catching a lot of them out with close calls .
i'm not fully convinced the tech3 bikes are non works specs.
well done to lorenzo , him and the yam are in very good shape , no excusses for vale but he did appear to be loosing grip at the back like a lot of the other riders were , including stoner .

ANybody remember that old Moss Bros ad "put the suits back lads, we've drawn ****nal away" Kind of relevant to the Rossi fans today after yesterday.

I wouldn't take the qualifying times today with too much reference, as a lot of it was all about who used the soft tyres before the track dried out.
Still the results for Rossi just seem to keep getting worse.

Thinking that Ducati have removed the test mule status from Nicky and he can now set to work holy on his own settings.
Gooooo Nicky:)

Rossis like a investment banker, they still gonna pay him stupid amounts of money.

Everyone is slagging Rossi off! but that's all your talking about. What about 4th 5th and 6th position? The fact is you all need Rossi in in the championship so you carry talking ******** =)

Regarding the Tech 3 bike, it wouldn't surprise me if both Tech 3 machines were a bit more special than the usual satellite kit.

Yamaha will be looking to replace Spies if he doesn't shape up and they've got Cal and Dovi to chose from. So why not supply them good bikes and give them the chance to show Yamaha what they've got.
