"You can be a certain amount off, for a certain time, but not this much" - Casey Stoner.

Pedrosa: 1m 39.667s. Stoner: 1m 40.577s. Stoner is nearly 1 second slower than Pedrosa, his team mate. Casey is just deflecting from his own terrible qualifying, by pointing out Vale's terrible qualifying. Very silly.

Amazing how Rossi's fan can't see the obvious and always have plenty of excuses for everything. Reading comments on anything that is Rossi related is completely pointless.. Anyway I guess that Yamaha was not that bad when Rossi took over

Aussie charm, full on. His humble, keen insight and thoughtful unbiased remarks are what endear Casey to all motorcycle racing fans around the world. Pure class personified.

I am definately a Rossi fan, have enjoyed the action he has brought to the sport all these years. But what Casey says has a ring of truth. Even if Rossi is refusing to over-ride the bike to show Ducati its weakness, he needs to be beating Nicky and the satellite Ducatis in order to apear credible. Then he could still complain by saying "I'm wringing its neck, but can only get it to 5th or 6th" or whatever. At the moment he looks like a guy thats lost it, and I think everybody, his team and fans will start to disregard what he says completely and he will be then unable to influence any futher changes to the bike and direction. He can't simply demand that they create a perfect Hondaha that he will then ride to victory. he needs to work around the problems and show himself to still be a force to be reckoned with. I hope he still is!

Gosh, one race and one qualifying into the season and everybody is suddenly better than Stoner? He has a gap to close to his teammate? Some people really are dellusional. Hayden has gone on record saying it is the best Ducati he has ridden. The satelite Ducati riders are doing far better than in previous years. Everybody seems to be riding the Ducati better than the 2011 model except for Rossi. Why the heck should Stoner show any respect to Vale? Vale made himself a target for ridicule by making stupid comments and promises before he even threw a leg over the Ducati. Stoner hasn't joined in the ridicule yet. He has simply stated a fact, Rossi can't keep hiding behind the excuse that the bike is no good.

Simple lesson for Rossi, 'you live by the sword you die by the sword' (maye Casey should remember this for later life as well.
Where are the so called Rossi mind games now?

The WSB home for GP flops is that a way.

as high a profile with the masses, as VR. It's just not in the cards. And it has nothing to do with how well he can ride, or set up, a motorcycle.

It's in crafting, and polishing, that image. Nobody even comes close to Valentino in that department. You like?

We'll wait until Stoner's career is over and put it into the balance against Rossi's. Then we can judge their relative abilities.
Meanwhile, to keep us amused, what's Stoner whining about now that he's no longer being sick into his helmet? "Arm-pump" is it?

This is getting very interesting...
There are 2 possible outcomes. One, that Stoner is putting the final nails in the coffin (will he imply rossi will never win another race?), and two - rossi will be extra motivated to solve the curse of ducati and pi$$ on stoner.

Would be funny if it rained tomorrow and rossi romped it home!:)
