aldo, you shouldnt have too long to wait on cals first podium.looking at his corner entry speed on cool tyres, providing he can het on the front 2 rows next week in estoril i think he will have a better shout of a podium than jerez.
good spot by dave on caseys rubber trail over the rumble strip, fantastic piece of riding on tyres way past their best.

@LcTanner,better for my eyes to bleed watching that race rather than get cancer of the eyes watching some juvenile stage managed antics of #46 after winning a race which thankfully will never happen again

re: "Anybody who thinks Spies deserves his Factory Yamaha ride has rocks in their head."

call me rocky balboa. rather than the word "deserve" i prefer the word "earned". that's something very few (if any) have done in the past decade. mind, this coming from someone who never really rated spies (true story). his '09 rampage forced upon me an "attitude adjustment".

re: "Spies is way over rated. He must have had an amazing Yamaha in the WSBK championship."

but that's the thing, it WASN'T an amazing yamaha. it was a mk-I/mod-0 so there's no way on god's green it could've been...!? however, what he did receive was AMAZING technical support. support is even more critical at the gp level and i'm now back to wondering if he's getting it. the changing tyre profile can't be helping. he seemed to be adapting to the older b'stones, but come 2012 that's all shot to hell. and coincidentally seems to be "shot to hell" for rossi, with whom spies shares a similiar riding style.

All those doubters from Qatar look positively SILLY! This is proof enough that Stoner would've dominated Qatar had arm pump not been so bad!

All this time I KNEW Stoner had it in him to whoop the Spaniards at their home track, after having crappy Ducatis and Valentinos knocking him off, he finally proved it!

Oh and I was right about Ben Spies! The man is just not a Grand Prix rider!

Tyre degradation keeps getting a mention and Rossi sets his own fastest lap on his penultimate lap! He looked really happy after the race and I don't think that was because he beat Hector and was catching Nicky. My guess is that the bike responded to his teams' setup, but it took half the race for him to realise it. He lost a lot of time in the first 6 laps compared to the front runners (including Nicky) so if he ever gets to quallify better we'll all see an improvement. Dry race too.

Rossi knows the GP12 isnt competitive in its current form. He aint going to push a bike that will only get him 8th at best. Nicky Hayden just proved that today. From third on the grid he went backwards. Hayden got 8th. Rossi went forwards and got 9th. Both ducatis some 30 seconds back from the front. The GP12 isnt competitive. Rossi and Hayden havnt forgotton how to ride but i've forgotton who won today...who was it ?

How many were laughing at Stoner yesterday when he qualified 5th?
Wonder if they are laughing now.
Stunning ride from Stoner today,he gave it his all to keep Lorenzo at bay.Nice to see the Jerez monkey off his back once and for all.I thought his rear tyre was shot towards the end and that Lorenzo would reel him in on the last lap,but he hung in there and ragged it all the way around the last lap to victory.Yet again,Crutchlow proves he is more than justified being in MotoGP.Will he take Spies ride next year?
If the results stay like this,YES!
Cracker of a race!

Excuse the typo in my name above.
What a ride by Cal, for me ride of the day just in front of Stoners. Many on here said last year that Crutchlow didn't deserve his seat in MotoGP. I think he deserved it and he is now proving it.
