@ Bob

I don't know that necessitating a riding style change could be defined as "making the bike work", and it sure as hell doesn't address whatever gremlins cause so many issues with the GP.

Pretty amazing the number of sore winners obsessed with Rossi, doing their best to ruin it for others. Not satisfied with their guys winning.
Back on topic, did anyone see that clip that Speed put up with Rossi leaning into a corner not all that hard and the front tucking?
That has all the earmarks of swingarm loading up and releasing all at once. Back in the day when the swingarm bushings were rubber and they were trying different materials the same sort of thing happened, the swingarm would twist up and snap back.
Time to try an aluminum swingarm that wont release energy abruptly.

Of course. After Nicki does all the grunt work while Rossi and Co. goes off to play, he takes that set up that NH has worked so hard for.

Sounds like malpractice Doctor.

Why would Yamaha change Spies for Rossi next year? They are riding more or less in the same class - against Randy de Puniet and the other CRT (I being mean, I know)... but yeah! although noone noticed, but Spies has been faring even worse than Rossi, since he is a young guy, with a future to build, and still not that much to show for, he has the best factory bike of the lot and has been consistently the worst of the Yamahas - even Rossi hasn't been that bad, and he at least has already won everything so he can always relax a bit and rest on his laurels - and he has the excuse of getting old...

I,ve been reading a lot of these comments and have to stick my 2p in.

Has everyone forgot that this is an entirely new bike that needs to be ridden different from last years. It's bigger and much more powerful and can be ridden with less worrying about cornerspeed etc.
Last years bike was all about carrying the sped through the corners and this bike you can afford to square the corner off and point and squirt as they say.
This suits Nicky to a tee, does everyone remember the first season of the 880,s ?
Who struggled that first year ?
Nicky ! So all those people saying Rossi can't change his style have you forgot about the different classes , manufacturers and sizes of machines he has won races and titles on ?

Lorenzo, as quoted on Motorsport-Magazin, commented on the rumours: "I wouldn't mind at all. I work for Yamaha, and if there was another fast rider on the machine, we could improve our overall chances of success."

Responding to Lorenzo, and trying to calm the rumour-mill, Rossi said: “I'm very grateful to Lorenzo and in this difficult moment he's the only rider who still respects me and I appreciate it, but it's still too early to talk about next season, we still have to make the Ducati work, that is our goal.”

I would be happy again!

Its so funny all the paying punter comments on here. Yes Casey is a very quivk rider but the Duc in 2007 was a VERY different package.

When they say he finds the limit straight away , that is exactly what it means. He has increadable natural feel and too some of you haters, yes your right sort of, he isn't "riding it like he stole it" but then his experience isn't limited to a replica lid and ponsing around your local biker hangout.

He doesn't see the point in pushing the bike until it's 'base state' is capable of running close to the pole pace. If you were him, had 9wt's and knew exactly what your feel and experiencience was telling you, would you honestly push knowing at anytime at that pace your gonna bin it?

Some of these comments are so stupid.
