@pinky "spies was never a good rider" even for a Troll thats a stupid comment and doesn't say much for the rest of the riders.

is ben a top 15 rider? yes.

but is he a top 5 rider? No.

he finished where his talent allowed. even he can't explain it. there isn't any apparant machinery or setup issues. when a rider acknowledges that, then one can only look in the mirror and question ones talents.

I agree pathetic. He would be mid-pack the way he rode the last race in booth AMA or WSBK. I don't know if it is Marco or Ben's more interested in being a bicycle rider. Whatever it is, he needs to get his head straight or go home.

give it a few race's and he will get goin, not a championship contender but a race winner defintaly!
to me it always looks like yamaha play faveourite 1 rider always seems to get the "better" bike wether it was rossi and edwards, lorenzo and spies or even crutchlow and dovi.
the whole crutchlow thing is so over rated the guy is good but never goona win a race or on the same level as any of the race winners it's still early days of the 1000's yet spies will be up there come assen me thinks but for people to compare cal and ben is wrong one rider got his ride cuz of talent (remember wild cards on suzuki!!!) the other (cal) got his ride(moto gp) due to sponser(monster) it all makes sense

An honest apology from Ben, credit to him for that. He'll now be re-assessing what he said about Dovi and Cal before the race. Cal had Ben's ass in the race, and by mid season Cal will have Ben's seat as well.

apparently Ben has been trying to ride with a very different setup compared to the other Yamaha riders - this confirms what i've been saying all along - HE cannot ride the proper Grand Prix style

he would be eaten alive if he were in Moto2

I'm going to repost what I said yesterday because I really have nothing more to add at this point:

There is a lot of debate about Spies and rightly so - Maybe it's bad luck but I once heard that you make your own luck. If there is a problem on his side of the garage than he needs to sort it and fire someone or get someone fired because guess what? A few more performances like he had the first 2 races and he's the one that is gonna be ass out in the factory Yamaha team and fired.

It's time out for the excuses, time out for the mistakes in set up, time out for this or that. This is a performance oriented business and he has to perform - end of. The bottom line is that he has to perform on Sundays. I'm a huge Spies fan but I'm not interested in explanations or reasons or excuses - just results
