remember how cold it was at Assen and how most riders were struggling to get heat into their tyres? Marco and Ben locked out the front row for a reason: they could get heat into their tyres better due to their weight. Assen is also a circuit where wide lines can be taken into corners without losing speed, and Spies always takes wide lines into a corner...

Indianapolis is also the same in that wide lines work just as good as the normal tight lines

Spies will bounce back its a matter of time. He's obviously in a slump right now but with his talent, he'll be back in the top 3 mix sooner than later. What I don't understand is how tech3 is going bring up a mediocre smith to motogp when everyone knows there is no way he's going to be faster than either crutchlow or dovi. That really doesn't make sense to me. I don't care how long he's been with the team he is not and will not be better than either of those two.

Oh, I do have 1 more thing to add -

Anyone who says Spies doesn't belong in MotoGP is being very disingenuous. He's proven that on a number of occasions. While people are gushing over Cal (rightly so because he has done a great job so far) remember that Spies got a pole and podiums his rookie year in Tech 3 - something Cal hasn't achieved. And Ben already has the same amount of wins as Dovi the other Tech 3 guy. So yeah, Spies is stinking it up now but let's not act like he doesn't belong in MotoGP. 2 bad races and he doesn't have MotoGP talent anymore? That's ridiculous.

Spies' first three races last year: 6th-DNF-DNF. Hardly an auspicious start. He rebounded to have a decent (not great) season. Whether he can rebound quickly this season and put together a string of solid results remains to be seen. But he has shown that he has the talent to do the business. Let's not write him off after two races.

I'm a Yamaha/BS fan. I seriously doubt it has something to do with the bike. They had a total of 4 or 5 practices to set up the bike (like everyone else) and Ben found out only during the race that he's not comfortable? It seems that all weekend long he was struggling, but everyone else as well. Ben is too strong of a rider to drop down to 11th in two races blaming "comfortable" as the issue??

There is something seriously wrong and Ben is keeping his mouth shut. If it's lack of confidence he better snap out of it cause the next race is in a few days.

C'mon BEEEEENNNNN!!!!!

RawDog, you're a hypocrite. You berate Rossi and his fans for relying on his past success too much yet you give Spies the opposite treatment

Lin Jarvis was not impressed with Ben last year, let's not forget this, and another year like he had last year and he'll lose his ride. Problem is that Ben is doing even worse than last year... far worse. Two 11th places? An utter joke!
