8 of 12 completed laps by Stoner were under 1.38 and averaged 1.37.59.

6 of 12 laps completed by Pedrosa were under 1.38 and averaged 1.37.61.

Usually, even if Stoner is not No 1, his number of fast laps and their average laptime is far superior to any other in the field. Looks like Pedrosa will be the main challenger in the race with Lorenzo trying keep up and not finishing far behind.

Lorenzo completed 15 laps and 5 were under 1.38.

No other rider went under 1.38.

Rossi could easily be in front of Hayden but he just hasn't got the right set-up in Qatar and Jerez! He will finish on the second row for the race maybe 5th or 6th!!!Rossi switched on the soft tyre for the last 5 min!! Imagine him using the soft tyre for a whole hour!!!

Rossi using the so called Nicky/Ducati setting was 5th fastest on combined best splits!
Nicky's average pace was nearly 1 sec slower than Rossi's, that's not all down to tyres. We don't know what they were testing though.
Cal up there again keeping them honest.
Ben and Jorge sandbagging.
Dovi getting to grips with his Yam.
I would love Dani to win this one.
