“We didn't really feel we had the pace to be on pole today, but after the red flag came out we were able to get out there and put together a good enough lap” – Casey Stoner.

@Lemmy and Googleplex, I give you exhibit A, Westminster, turns from a fanatical Rossi fan to a fanatical and equally obnoxious Stoner Fan. As for for No 22 save not being amazing (1 disagree) how could it not he even did a jump to round it off, that's like a triple axle with pike!

Also big prediction but I think Jorge will take the crown back this season barring a mishap (e.g. CRTs).

i think CS will runaway make big gap if he already get in front at estoril, coz since VR shock him at LS08 he don't want to fight 1 by 1 again.that's what i see..

How many races have passed? and you conveniently skipped LS2011....

Hi BadBob,

Firstly, this is a Pedrosa/Lorenzo track, Stoner has not got the same record here as the two Spaniards, but watching the live timing from FP3, when Casey was on hard rubber and in race trim, he was effortlessly in the 1.37's, whereas Pedrosa needed softs to go quicker, and then by only half a second - not enough, and Lorenzo was out of it.

Then there are the reports of the track seeping groundwater in the newly laid sections. It is my opinion the Casey copes well with a track that has lower levels of grip, ergo it is my opinion that Danny and Jorge will not get away from Casey this year as easily as they have in the past.

I guess we can compare notes after the race and see if I am wrong.

This will be an important win for Casey should he manage to beat Jorge today.Jorge has pretty much ruled the roost here so to lose will be a blow for him.I think Jorge will come out guns blazing though.Starting 4th on the grid will focus his mind for sure.He cant afford to let the Hondas get the slightest lead on him.A good start is crucial. But this is another track that Casey will want to scratch off his to do list so look for a close run race.

Warm up
1. Stoner (fastest lap faster than pole time)
2. Jlo
3. Dovi

Nice to see Stoner and Lorenzo chatting at the track after warm up, before practicing their starts..
Dovi also joined lorenzo prior to his practice start
