Great stuff. Stoner was great through splits 1 and 2 yesterday but pretty ordinary in 3 and 4, particularly split 4. He's turned that around today.

Yesterday 1st, 2nd, 4th and 4th fastest through the splits. Today in warm up, fastest in all 4 splits.

In addition to improving in splits 3 and 4, he did so without dropping time in splits 1 and 2 (in fact, he gained marginally in both those splits too). Always nice when "let's try 'xyz' tomorrow" pays off.

@ Blah Blah, @I know has just made my point for me, its pretty obvious really but I will spell it out,
Jorge is at least as good a rider as he was in 2008 but his time was a lot slower this year because of the tyres they are using this year.....

my question is this, did Stoner set his warm up time on race tyres?

Sorry lads, you must forgive me. It's difficult sometimes to get my single brain cell firing on a quarter of a synapse, and I am extremely angry that no one has an answer for the superhuman results that Stoner can produce on queue.
I am disillusioned is all.....
