It's a little premature to make any snap judgements, though I do advocate more testing in season.
Too many riders still getting to grips with their bikes come race day makes for a poor spectacle indeed.

why the hell doesnt Honda just get to Motegi or wherever and try and do as much testing to combat the chatter? i just dont get it, they dont seem to be thinking its that serious!!

What makes you think Honda are not working on the chatter issue? Because you didn't read a blurb about it on crash.net?

Anyway, Ducati still have a lot of work to do. The ECU issue Hayden had is about as ridiculous as when Spies' crew left a tool clamped to his bike last year.

The Rossi, Burgess, Preziosi development relationship is really starting to look questionable. Good luck to them though. We all want to see them up front, at the beginning and the end of a race.

@confused
They are limited to testing by the number of tyres each rider can have from Bridgestone, so they would have to put a test rider on it.
Unless you have a test rider who can push it to Stoner or Pedrosa's limit then you wont recreate the problem so virutally a waste of time. All the Japanese test riders never get anywhere near Stoner's time, something Rossi used to complain about when at Yamaha.

for team ducati , you have a new engine to test via the team riders why wait bolt it in to the gp12 for the next race and try it out on the friday , if its ok use it if it needs more work then that's progress.
or am i wrong is it not aloud for teams to change engines on race weekends ? is there someone that knows ?????

They could but wont because they are already on engine 2/6 of the lot you are alliwed to use during the championship. Thats why even if it means progress they cant afford to use the new engine until Silverstone.

Just read preziosi interview... Looks like they still know what they are doing... Testing new engine, new chassis, new electronics.... Too bad it rains in estoril... Looking forward to watch the ducs perform after mugello testing... They will gget there.... Watch out stoner, lorenzo, pedrosa... The goat will be back stronger than ever...
