Seems rather like clutching at straws.. Been a while since Shakey raced a GP bike and he didn't exactly set the world alight then. The bikes and tyres have changed a lot since then.

Nothing against Byrne, just I don't really see this as a step forward.

Ellison has been unlucky not to score so far IMO. Why dent his confidence now?

He should get Chris Walker on it if he wants a real tryer. I am in sheer disbelief with tears in my eyes after seeing The Stalker roll back the clock at Oulton.
Birdy was interviewed before the race and he more or less accused Ellison of sandbagging and wanted to bring Shakey in to check out what Ellison was saying about the chatter issue . I know he owns the team but he more or less called Ellison a liar on live tv. Anyone who knows Ellison will know he takes a long time to get comfortable on a bike. He should of known that when he hired him.No wonder Kawasaki pulled the plug on him. I think Shakey might be under threat now anyway after been beaten by Walker. The last comment was a joke.

paul bird really is a hateful man. I'm not a huge ellison fan, but at least let him try and sort out the problems with birds crappy little bike instead of denting his confidence further.

How about Birdy get the bike sorted rather than benching his rider?

Does he think Shakey is Stoner and that his rolling steaming pile of poo Aprilia which isn't up to the task of the other Aprilias is a Honda? I don't rate Ellison all that much but to bench him because he's complaining about chatter is ridiculous. The 3rd race just finished and Birdy admits he's been thinking about this for a while? Fix the damn bike - that's on the team not the rider. Let Shakey concentrate on BSB. If he goes out and gets hurt and screws up his BSB season how dumb will that look?

Well. this sort of 'management decision' will do nothing but unsettle rider and team. what they are dealing with is a combined lack of experience, data and preparation. Did they expect to complete 1 test and be on the pace?
Get a second opinion on the bike.. fine, in a private test. the others manufacturers seem to do it. how about sitting vermuelen, jt or capirrossi on it. If fit they may provide more up to date feedback. but im just a fan.
Best of british to them, stick with it james!
