"We will not have the total package at Mugello. This is unfortunate, because Valentino likes the race a lot and it is our home track" - Filippo Preziosi.

“We are following the direction he (Rossi) suggests at the best of our capability, which is not enough right now to be faster than Honda. But for sure we will try in the direction that Valentino shows us. We give Jeremy 100% freedom to define with Valentino what the best set-up is. As Ducati, our duty is just to supply material."
- Preziosi

Translation "If the new changes dont work blame Rossi and Burgess"

Great job covering your ass Preziosi :)

From reading this article, you could pretty much say Ducati have abandoned any thought of a championship with this bike. It looks to me 2012 will be a development year with the hope of a podium or even a possible race win, but as it stands at the moment there will have to be a massive improvement from this team with there upcomming upgrades. Valentino and Nicky will have to like what they are given and hope to hell that the upgraded engine, works with the current chasis. On the other side of things with all the rumours pointing towards a possible split between Valentino and Ducati, this engine upgrade might be the final straw for Valentino, on making up his mind to his future if the upgrades are to make a radical improvement propelling him to the front of the race instead of being mid pack. I some how don't think Valentino would like to end his career on a bike that doesn't suit his riding style.

Right now, Rossi's only worth the sponsorship dollars to fund Ducati's R&D because he's not going to push or take risks for race wins or a WC.

If they can find a rider that can bring in more coin, then Rossi will be gone, whether he wants to stay or not. If they can't find bigger money elsewhere then Rossi will be welcome to stay.

If Rossi wants better race results then he needs to jump ship. I don't know what Ducati needs to do to build a better bike???

Someone's lying .

Rossi gets angry after Qatar and accuses Ducati of not giving him the bike he asks for"..."The problems with the bike haven't changed, and neither have my requests. It's unrideable, and it doesn't make much difference what track we are on."

and a month later Preziosi says "We are following the direction he (Rossi) suggests at the best of our capability"

Who's lying ??

Cheers

No wonder the current top riders talk about championship this early, because Rossi is supposed to win the title for Ducati on GP12.

While the opponents going forward with their strategy, Rossi is still looking back to his 7 MotoGP trophies in case it could be used as an improvement parts for the GP12.

It's already 4 or 5 Ducati versions since the first time he ride the Ducati.

Now we will see if Rossi and JB could come out with magical bike out of thin air and win the title at the same time.

Or, Rossi's outburst caused enough of an uproar for the factory to finally start giving him/Hayden what is needed in a timely manner. The statements by Preziozi are most likely reactive, BUT they do a very good job of covering his/the factory's ass if the parts don't provide results.

You have to hand it to Audi for cracking the whip and laying down the law.
There is a new sheriff in town and no one is safe in Ducati town, unless the results improve and pronto!
Preziosi is sure feeling the heat & looking to shift any future blame.

Pernat stated that stoner could return to ducati for 10 million euros.... Where is rossi going to ride next year? Anyone ideas? Who is gonna ride where next year... Witch couples are we gonna have?
Ducati: rossi hayden or stoner hayden
Honda: stoner pedrosa or lorenzo pedrosa (marquez)
Yamaha: lorenzo spies or rossi spies or crutchlaw spies
Tech 3: dovi rossi or dovi spies

Spies back to superbike? Rossi out of motogp?

Full package for laguna... I would love to see a race like 2008 laguna... But we can see that the bike is acting crazily... If DOCTOR can cure his bike we can surely get some awesome races to watch.. Lets hope the new engine works well.. Go vale.. Bring ur self back to the podium...

@Realist.

You may be right, it seems to me that after Stoners initial success and a few good rides by Gibernau, Capirossi and Bayliss that they knew what they were doing ..lol

Rossi is doing ok ,at least he is getting upgrades etc during the season which according to Stoner never happened in his yrs at Ducati .

Cheers
