Stoner, Lorenzo & Pedrosa isn't a rivalry they are all friends now, it's the worst rivalry I've ever seen!

For me growing up the best rivalry was Rossi, Gibernau and Biaggi, that was a good rivalry and the y all didn't get along but I found it difficult to choose from the Schwantz, Rainey & Doohan and the Lawson, Rainey & Schwantz because I have over the years bought reviews from the 80's and 90's and those rivalries were brilliant unlike today's rivalries in MotoGP!

This is just a sad reality of what the technology has wrought. Just watch the races from the late 80's compared to now. Simply watch the ferocity of some of those battles and try to compare it to some of the time trials we have now. That was a time when men were men and women were glad of it. Hay bales lined the tracks, and Traction control was a well lubed Magura! Now these guys have bikes, technology, fitness and media coverage that are far superior to those of the past and the show is worse off for it. Back then we didn't have Televised races every weekend. One of my most treasured possessions is an old VHS tape of Hockenheim 91 that was the best race I think I may ever witness. Schwantz and Rainey at their Zenith. Valentino is now, where Eddie was when he went to Cagiva. Man up and get on with it.

Swartz-Rainey-Lawson..all three were ultra talented and trusted each others riding skill enough to make aggressive racing look clean, I think with the moto 2 stars coming up through the ranks we will see better racing in the next few years if they can incorporate that riding style in the MotoGP class and mabey some good Rivalrys will follow into the premier class.

Not comparable, at that time there were 12, 13 races/year look now how many...

Only Stoner and Rossi can be compared in talent with Rainey/Schantz and Lawson.

Yeah plenty of rivalries not mentioned but of those yes Rainey, Schwantz, Lawson. Also you see the footage and the bikes are all over the join (and I would say more than the Duc in any modern configuration).
