I have nothing but respect for Casey, he may have been a PR disaster at times but no one can dispute his talent on a bike. Hopefully he'll take a year off to recharge his batteries and then go to world superbike for real racing. one other thing, i thought his comment about Randy deserving a better bike was very true.

@Sparky62 Thank god there is a few of us old guys around that seen GP racing at it's best.I am also a 50+ follower and your story about stoner is right he also sold T shirts at race meetings to keep his racing going, tell me another rider that had that much passion for his sport and that's not even half of the sacrifice his parents made so he could live his dream, and now he can pay them back while he is young and enjoy the life he missed out on as a kid,but Sparky some people on here are so bitter they are unable to understand that, just because he whipped their rider he is a bad guy pretty sad really.

This is a very sad day not just for Australia but mainly for motogp,I feel that a lot of negativety aimed at Casey has taken its toll, you only have to read some of the "TRASH" on this site to understand what Im talking about. motogp does not deserve someone like Casey. We in Australia hope he does go to the V8 series so he will get the adulation he rightfully deserves.

Passion? The guys' cashing out early! Where's the passion? If he trully loves this sport then he would stay no matter what.

I find it sad that Stoner decided to quit MotoGP. He's defenetly a great rider. I won't comment on his reasons as long as it is his decision so he's free to have any reasons he wants. I wish him the best in his life and sporting career no matter what he decides to do after retiring from MotoGP. Yes, it would be great to see him as a wilde card in WSBK.
