“I behaved a little bit like a young rider and unfortunately I also took Casey down” – Valentino Rossi.

Don't know if anyone else saw it but after the race on the run down lap, the BBC showed a guy kneeling down on the track in his VR46 hoodie worshipping rossi. I have it on great authority that it was RAWDAWG

Ich is referring to this season and on that basis his comments are valid. The second paragraph actually makes your point, the bike is the bike and the better riders can ride around the problems whereas the lesser riders can't. Like Casey used to.
As a Rossi fan I am prepared to accept that in the dry, Casey was way better than Valentino at riding around the Ducati's problems.
So how about you show a bit of humility and accept that in the wet Rossi's obvious
talent shines through?

I think it's brilliant they can both laugh about it now and they are both starting to get along now!

I think the bad blood of the past is slowly getting swept under the carpet!

I love Sundays race and welcome back to the podium Vale!

I agree with Jimmy hahahhah. The other thing Jimmy always fails to take into account that there are multiple variables at play like hey maybe the other bikes have improved or if someone of Stoner's obvious quality was riding the Honda while Stoner was on the Duc in 2011 then maybe the results wouldn't be so different for either rider but hey that is speculation you have nothing to support the view that Stoner would not continue the trend on Ducati, 10,6,4,3, and 1 in 2011. And not because he is not an awesome rider but simply because the Duc continued to go backward while the others kept making progress.

Awesome show by these two and great to see them both making an effort to move on, I think a lot of the tension has gone, Casey has won his second championship and relaxed a little, he will probably win a third and will certainly do everything in his power to make it happen but hey dont think he is going to be too gutted if it doesnt happen and Valentino seems to have changed a little also, still the same skill and hunger to win but maybe not "win at any cost" anymore.
They have maybe both grown up a little more in the last year. Of course its still early in the season....

Nice sentiment but sadly a forlorn hope, you see now the haters are beginning to realize that beating Casey is so important, and now all Rue the day there vitriolic outpouring was posted.

Quote from Stoner on his retirement announcement, "And except from my competitors around me, they are the only ones that give respect to each other. ". What Casey has always said, and shown, is that repect among the riders themselves is there. Many times he has said he hoped that the Ducati improved, not for Ducati's sake but for the spectacle of MotoGP and having Valentino competitive. Same when he expressed hid frustration with CRT. De Puniet should be up near the front, not battling for 13th. Of course the Stoner haters say he is not popular in the paddock, which is a load of ******** and certainly not true amongst the fellow riders. Fact is, Casey is just as thrilled with Rossi's ride as any fanboy and the mutual respect has always been there.

Casey Stoner definitely knows a good rider when he sees one. No sooner has he bigged up the frenchman and randy's off the bike in front of his home crowd having not gone half a yard past the start finish line.

And talking of the eurozone crisis, what crisis ? Greece has categorically stated that it will pay its debt back in 11,350 years time. Whats the problem with that ?
