If only they switched to inline 4 much sooner. They are well known for inline 4. The gixxer 1k inline 4 is quite a power plant. For many years i dont understand why they kept going at v config, which is not their strength and they have very little experience with.

It would be excellent to have Suzuki back as a factory effort but it sounds far from certain given that they say they lack the budget to race at the moment. Although 2014 is some way off, the global economy is going to get even worse yet before it gets any better so they're not likely to have an increased budget in the immediate future. It makes sense from a promotional point of view to go for an in line four - I wonder if it will have a cross-plane crankshaft or whether the ever increasing sophistication of the electronics means they think they could be competitive with a traditional 'screamer' engine?

Could we be saying hello to Suzuki and bye bye to Ducati in 2014 with the planned rule changes.

Is Suzuki developing a GP engine or are they trying to find out what power and durability they can get out of the gixser motor.

Tom Sykes likes a ballsy in line 4.

As someone who works for Suzuki I would love to see them make a bigger effort in motorsport. Unfortunately they have a history of making half ass attempts. The way they left both the GP and SBK teams hanging was disgraceful. While I'd love to think that it will be different this time I highly doubt it.
