Lorenzo's riding style requires a bike that can carve precisely and fast as hell through corners without buckling like crazy. The RCV is not that bike.

I hope he takes that into account before being blinded by money.

Do not concern yourself, some posters naming no names
monsignor REALIST, have the crazy notion that it's all about money, that would probably be true for some up and coming hotshot, who was not happy with his bike wanted more money, and could have a couple of years leeway before producing the goods, but Jorge is happy at Yamaha and has plenty of cash and a bike built to his liking, WORRIES OVER.

re: "Casey Stoner's shock announcement that he will retire at the end of the 2012 MotoGP season is a massive blow to the Repsol Honda team"

only if prototype grandprix were set to continue.

re: "which must now find a new rider to take over the reigning double world champion's factory RC213V."

i'm sorry, did stoner say he was retiring with immediate effect and someone was needed to finish out 2012...? is the blade powered CRT going to be renamed "RC213V" or something...?

re: "I'm one of those who voted Rossi, but from my side, it was more wishful thinking than anything else"

that's not wishful thinking. wishful thinking is believing that their isn't a huge row coming between ezpelata and the factories.

Honda have to go with someone with a proven track record, so it has to be either Rossi or Lorenzo.

They need someone to win the World Championship and that someone isn't Pedrosa or any of the other muppets.

"If Rossi goes, noone will touch the Duc"

...Mr Checa? Mr Haslam? Mr BAYLISS out of retirement? There's loads of guys who's jump at the chance to ride the Duke if Rossi was welcomed back at Honda. I think Yamaha might struggle keeping Crutchlow. The guy is sizzling hot on the tech3 at the moment. Imagine what he could do on a Factory bike! thinking about that sent shivers down me spine!
