Amen pipboy! Spies threads draw a lot of heat on here. Ben will be fine, just needs some clean running to get the setup right. God knows we could use more people at the front. Plus he has a few home rounds coming up. It couldn't hurt having a good fan base behind him. Race fans on the continent seem to overlook the advantage of being able to drive to 75% of the races has in terms of fan support. We Americans get two races (for now)and they are 2300 miles apart. That would cover about half a dozen races or so in Europe. I'm envious!

"Ben got Rossis bike last year and MAYBE benefited by a bike that was already set up perfectly, this year with the..."

A great setup for one rider does not necessarily turn into a good or even decent setup for another. Just doesn't. Different riding styles often required significantly different setup to achieve similar lap times. Time and time again I've read or heard on the tube world class riders saying this, and it makes allot of sense.

I can't wait for this overpaid, underperforming wannabe to be out of motogp, or at least on a CRT where nobody pays attention or cares. Free the ride for someone who deserves it, or better yet go back to wabi and see how he fares now. So sick of the hype and nonsense with this guy and his mom.

re: "Any reasonable opinions as to why he's looking so drastically worse this year?"

no cash in the coffers...? 2 years at the grandprix level without a main sponsor'll do that. you KNOW the economy's bad when spain doesn't pony up to sponsor their champion's title defense having waited a decade.

I've never found myself rooting against an american on the world stage, but there is a first for everything.

give the seat to someone that deserves it. He is a complacent ingrate.
