I've never really listened to the press conferences. It's always been about the racing for me. I have huge respect for anyone who is prepared to race from club level to MotoGP, God bless you all! It's a real shame for true fans that we are losing Casey at the end of the season! I'd like to say thanks to Casey for tremendous spectacle of seeing him race motorbikes, I'll never forget the way he rode in qualifying for Assen in 2007 in the wet, it was scary! It's also a good job I was not present around thick tw*ts @ Donno that thought it was acceptable to boo him, as I'd have givin them a right mouthful or even a knuckle sandwich!! Total respect Casey, enjoy the fishing mate, you'll always be welcome in my house hold & I could show you some good co**** fishing locations too!! :-) I hope you enjoy your retirement as much as I've enjoyed seeing you battle on track.

Great picture. The track is the only place Stoner feels safe and it is very unlikely he will retire any time soon.
There is no getting away from the abuse ever, because of who he is, retired on not. He's bound to miss the safety net racing offers him, plus the chance to show up his detractors by bagging more trophies.
Besides, his kid is not old enough to remember the glory days and there is nothing more sad than being told about your father's life story from newspaper clips accumulated over the years.
He's not going anywhere.

I am sure his kids would rather have him at home during their formative years than being dragged about the world to watch him race. I think a loving father will be far more important than and bragging rights to a famouse one! Stoner might miss some aspects of the sport but crap like is written here will not be one of them.

Casey's only problem is he doesn't have thick skin,he let the reporters, critics and fans take the fun out of the sport for him.He is without a doubt the best rider on the MotoGp grid and until someone can adapt to his riding style I don't think well see a racer quite as dominate as he has shown to be.Not a fan but I acknowledge just how good this guy is!!
Removed name calling.
