it doesnt take long for another troll try to assure that with traction control u can slide

the electronic will cut off the spark to balance the speed of front wheel and rear wheel
thus sliding is pretty much very hard close to impossible to do

like i said do research first !!!

"Stoner and traction control
Submitted by David Emmett on Fri, 2012-05-25 11:31.

The argument has been done to death, and so all posts discussing his use of traction control will be deleted.
Here is what I know of the issue-
Several people, including Nicky Hayden and Stoner's crew chief Cristian Gabarrini have confirmed to me personally that Casey Stoner uses less traction control than other riders, because his throttle control is more precise, especially in the last 9% or so of throttle. What looks like "pinning the throttle to the stop" is actually "pinning the throttle to the point just before traction control cuts in". The naked eye cannot discern the difference between the two, especially not with quick action throttles."

You'd probably find there's a lot more going on (going off?) with modern traction control than just spark on/off.

You've only got to get onto Honda's website and have a look at some of the sh!t they've got to realise just how much electronics Honda "could" have tucked away in their ECU. At the press of a button the throttle grip could become a wheelie angle setpoint with the ECU getting you up there and keeping it there. Who knows what their "active" steering damper is really doing.

Just check out Honda's U3-X.

I'm not saying Stoner uses more or less TC than anyone else but you could be well assured that the nerdy boys at Honda will be trying to pack of much of it into their MotoGP bike as they can. Even Mick Doohan used to tell them to "fcuk that sh!t off to Criville's bike and if Criville starts beating me, then I'll try it."

@dacron

"@granfafa aka slick."

You a mod? Gentlemen, we have a mod in our mids. No wonder our posts have been deleted. Soon, he will ban some of us from this site for being a fan of riders other than stoner. Talk about credibility!

BTW, I'm not this Slick.

The world best commentators get to see the telemetry. These blokes then make the claim that Stoner users less traction control than other riders. They do not post this data on the internet so it is pretty hard to link to concrete proof. However, if the posters on here would like to point out evidence that makes David Emmett, Daryl Beattie, Mick Doohan, Kevin Magee and many others liars then I am all ears. Look at Stoner's background. He won 71 dirt track titles between the ages of 9 and 14. In one weekend he competed in five classes, won 5 championships and won 32 out of 35 races. That is where he, and the americans, learn throttle control.

Ahhh....some people here will lie just to get attention. If some of you are so close to stoner as you claim, or have real first hand knowledge of whats going on, then tell us who you really are so that we would believe you and be done away with the arguments. Come on mates, tell us. Anyone here a mechanic of stoner?
