"Even if Casey was winning races, that bike was a complete failure"
Wow,thats got to be the most contradictory comment i have read all year. How can a bike which is a complete failure get to the top of the podium not just once but 23 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And against such superior bikes as the Honda and Yamaha of the time?

Its fair enaught to say that Stoner did well on that Ducati.. But you have to forget 2007 because on that time the Ducati was the best bike out there.. after that Stoner have some podiuns and was still amyzing is performance but no title again.. Whant any more point to see that the Ducati was ****??? Iven if he outstands himself on the Ducati that only means that he is young enaught and control better the weack points off the Ducati and its because of that i will have to say Stoner its the best of all time?? offcorse not.. for beeing the best you need to be like Rossi Consistent all time and Win again and again and again then you will be the one the legend.. Stoner only win 2 titles and will losse this year all bet.. I dunno why talck about Stoner he did well but he dont have the Mind for this is to weacke.. Mick doohan was much better and psicological stronger.. Rossi is the best off all time and you only wach Agostini at 1 place because iven on Monday that guy race Motorcycles.. At t

"Runaways suck"...Ted G.
Would you have said that if Val had won the last race by 10 seconds?
No,i didnt think so. "

You are sadly mistaken. If he had a runaway of course I would have been happy he won. Would I have said runaways suck? Absolutely!!!! The battle is what racing is all about. Time trials aren't for me.
Seeing a guy take the pole and running away is not near as exciting or interesting as seeing someone come from way behind running the leaders down and squeaking out a victory by 1 inch (or 25.4mm) and the ensuing battles that creates.
Racing is all about entertainment and drama. If time trials were all that interesting they could end the weekend with qualifying. Passing and being passed is the drama, not knowing who will win till the last few milliseconds is exciting. Why watch if you know the outcome?

Hoppy how did Stoner fair after 2007 on the Ducati, he got worse and worse as the ducati got worse c/w Yamaha and Honda, last time I looked Rossi wasn't on a 07 ducati, and stoner wasn't on a 07 honda that was five f*cking years ago!

How well is Hayden doing now c/w 3 years ago, how did Hayden perform in the wet two weeks ago?

If the reason rossi was able to podium in the wet is because the ducati is the best wet weather bike, then the reason Honda is able to win in the dry is because the Honda is the best dry weather bike, same logic?

Stoner is the fastest rider out there, no doubt about that, would he be winning races on the ducati, no chance, will he be performing as well as rossi when he is rossis age? We will never know because he has given up, with only 2 titles to his name.

At the moment he is 8 points behind Jlo, despite having by far the best bike, so he is not that much better than the rest?

re: "LeMans wasn't even close to being a great race. Wet tracks don't make great races because full speed, fast lap times and ultimate potentials are never realized."

hmmmn, have you ever attended a live grandprix in the wet...? trust me, they are as fast in the wet (if not faster) than alot of production kit in the dry. pray for enough rain at your next race to warrant full wets and you'll be hard pressed to tell that they've slowed at all...? these guys don't coast.

re: "The pleasing thing about VW now owning Ducati is that its almost a cirtainty that the Ducati will be competitive very soon."

well that or the whole thing get's mothballed 11/11/12.

re: "I see a Ducati machine capable of winning in 2013."

yup, they had 2 of their panigale jewels back at that mugello test. how convenient.
