Unfortunately I have to admit he's doing suprisingly well and seems to have gelled with the bike so quickly.

It's unfortunate he's doing so well cos we all want Cal or Rossi on a factory Yamaha or Honda :) and he'll put up stiff competition

Bautista is the one with the factory bike, not Bradl, so he's doing pretty well to be on equal points as he's also new to the premier class.

Bautista does not have a factory machine!
Simoncelli had a contract that said Honda had to provide him with a factory machine after his first season. Bautista has no such contract.
Honda has no reason to give Bautista better machinery than Bradl.
