jesus christ yes yes we know about this, Marquez wont be in a factory Repsol team next year. It will be another team with a factory bike ala Marco Simoncelli.

The real question is will Rossi or Lorenzo be at Repsol? i hope one of them make the move!!

I honestly think the best thing Repsol can do is ignore the unproven Marquez and the lifelong nearly man Pedrosa and go for the real deal. And that is Ben Spies - the man who destroyed Mladlin - possibly the greatest man at mindgames ever.

Spies is clearly being held back by Yamaha - tactically so that HRC think Ben has lost it - and have decided to use the supposed holy trinity of Crutchlow, Dovi and Lozenzo as a smokescreen... but HRC know this - so don't be suprised to see the star of Texas soaking up Spanish oil money next year.

Simoncelli was in the two bike Gresini team, but of course he had the only factory bike in the team.

The problem for Marquez is that he wants to keep his Repsol sponsorship, particularly as Spanish bank sponsorship is unlikely to continue. Bankia has already been nationalised and Caixa is also in a desperate situation and requesting a bail out. The reason he 'decided' to stay in Moto2 this season was not that he thought he needed more experience before moving up - that excuse was only brought out after he found that Repsol wouldn't sponsor another bike for him outside the factory HRC squad. He will still have to find a way of resolving that problem next year.

@ Spies fan

If you're sure that's the explanation and you have an inside track to Ben's strategy advisors can I suggest it time he was told lulling the other bu88ers into a false sense of security went into overkill about 4 races ago?

I don't understand why what I wrote is being belittled. It was well known that in his first year at Tech 3, Ben was being used as a Dorna guinea pig for the introduction of CRT and was infact riding a sleeved engined R1. They knew the mans talent was likely that if he is evr handed a full pelt factory bike he's likely to win every race, barring mechanical failure. Did younot watch AMA? Did you not see how Ben romped away from mladlin - how he absolutely trounced Haga (his bike that year was actually a supersport machine, not a superbike).
