"I think this is going to be one of the first races in quite a long time where tyres may be quite critical, especially towards the end of the race" - Casey Stoner.

Are you guys crazy or what? Did any of you even freakin read the article. Stoners basically saying to wait and see on what tires he/others would use come race day. Sheesh.

I'd like to see Rossi winning again next year when Stoner leaves.

That way I can remember Stoner as the young fella that came to MotoGP, won the same (maybe 1 more) WC and a sh!tload more race wins than Rossi during that time AND was the only rider able to tame the Ducati.

Rossi was the GOAT before Stoner arrived and he can go back to being the GOAT again after Stoner leaves....

Vales statistics were the best of his time but he hasnt faired so well since Casey has had a factory ride, take what you will from that.
Currently the competition is fierce and maybe the current formula has been great for close results during the season, certainly hard to pick todays winner!

Until riders like Stoner, Rossi, Lorenzo et al win a Senior TT race they are just very good.

Hailwood and Agostini had the skill to win world championships AND Senior TTs. That makes them true greats.

He can run circles around Rossi, but unless he's got 8 championships in motogp and 2 each in 125 and 250, no one will remember him. Dani pedrosa has a better chance to be remembered than stoner.

Stoner will be remembered as a back marker in the 125 & 250, and a mediocre rider who without moving to Honda would have been a one hit wonder.

@Spike you cannot be serious,you seem to put a lot of credibility on lesser titles 125&250,i'm sure Dani would be one disappointed rider if he finishes his career without a motogp title

@spike..

You must be new to MotoGP, Stoner was 5th in the 2004 125 champs and second in the 2005 250 champs with Dovi 3rd and Lorenzo 5th, not exactly and " back marker "
Do some homework before posting again please.

Cheers.
