Barbera is just throwing a fast lap, not working on decent race setup... Obviously, Nicky and Rossi were doing it. Working for the race trim instead of putting a couple new soft tires and just do a fast lap.

Either way, this times mean little... We never know exactly what they are testing...

@ pcxmac

Barbera is doing about as good as he ever will. It was the same way before Rossi started riding for Ducati. He is regularly somewhere between 8th (rare) and 12th. THAT is Barbera! I almost think that your campaign in favor of Barbera must be a joke!!??!! Are you toying with us pcx?

@ Doctor

Why Dr.? You're doing better than him on race day. :)

@ Liam

Yep....dialing in (or attempting to) the aluminum swing-arm settings.

@ Rotsa Ruck

That second paragraph was objective and sensible. Thank you!

@pcxmac you're fighting a losing battle we can all see that Barbera uses a tow he always does that's why he gets so high up during testing, practice & qualifying!

Rossi set a faster lap during the race yesterday, they must be working on what will work better, then fine tune it!

Good to see Ducat is getting closer!

You just can't know if Ducati is getting closer because Catalunya race track allows closer races than usual others tracks.

If Rossi can finish under 20 seconds behind the winner at Silverstone, that would be an improvement but now it's too soon.

@ Pam

How does Rossi look bad when:

- He places higher than Barbera
- Sets faster lap times than Barbera IN THE RACE
- He was/is ahead of Barbera come season end
- It is easily verifiable that Barbera DOES tow
- IT'S ONLY PRACTICE!!!!

Even if Barbera is gettting a tow, it means that he can get that bike round the track that quick. Just because you have a tow it does not make you able to handle a bike better.
Hayden did faster in qualifying anyway.

All that matters at the end of the day is race position, and Barbera doesn't cut the mustard with any regularity AT ALL (..well, except for his average 10-11th place finishes). He did do pretty well with Aprilia however.
