I think it's pretty clear, despite whatever hopes we Texans had for Spies as a alien, that that's a thing of the past and now the worry is him holding on to his seat, short term and long term. I am disappointed in the failure of former Spies fans Rawdawg and the Southerner to rally to his defense. Fair weather friends?

Jorge and the Yamahas seem to be in unstoppable flight. So, let me hope that Honda do not get to rue their decision to by-pass the test. They obviously had their point to make, but you would have thought that if their bike was having all those problems with the tire, then that was surely the most compelling reason to be at the test and try to work around and rectify those problems!

HRC skipped the test because the new tyre wasn't available at Aragon yet will be the only front tyre suppled from Silverstone onwards. There was no point trying to solve the chatter problem on the old tyre as they aren't going to be using it again.

"If you're not on a Yamaha you're nowhere."

Unfortunately for Spies this doesn't automatically make the reverse true as despite being on the Yamaha he's yet to get anywhere in the championship. Promising test, but Catalunya has only raised the pressure on himself even further.

@ aeolus

What's there to defend? Ben's had a horrible start to this season. It's undeniable. As a fan we can admit that and simply hope and root for things to improve. I don't we've stopped supporting for him--but I can speak for everyone I guess.

Hmmm.. the fastest Ducati is .3s away from the slowest Yamaha. I don't see Ducati finding the time before the end of the season (or the next for that matter). Which means they can kiss Rossi goodbye.
There are sponsors lining up to buy Rossi a 2 million$ satellite bike if he wants to go that route. Wasting 2 years at Ducati is long enough...

All European people are waiting for one manufactor to fight with Japan.. I only bealive him Rossi to make Ducati better but was expecting that more manufactors with BIG MOUTH him Europe would join the fight.. But no they dont have balls to fight with Japan.. They only know how to explin why hour bikes him Europe are allways more expensive then Japan bikes.. But at the end the manufactors that trully understand how to make one Top Track bike como from Japan Samurai style ahahah..

Sim83...have more faith. I know Rossi wasn't fastest Duc but he always beats Nicky in a race, and .3 is nothing, Rossi always finds that much on race day. Still only put him 7th though.
It won't be long before both Ducatis will be in the mix and that will be fun.

PS I read last week that the Ducati bigwigs rate this as a 3 year thing. Two years to sort things out and wins in the third year. My feeling is if the promised changes don't work then Rossi will see out the year and then change manufacturer.
