Re the leg dangling - MCN did some calculations which suggested that at high speed (100 mph plus) it creates additional drag which helps pull the bike into the corner - I think this was in a Kevin Ash column.

I also agree it looks untidy, but sometimes riders do introduce new techniques - such as Jarno Saarinen with the knee down. Riders prior to him didn't do it and for years I used to read grumblings from writers like LJK setright about how untidy it looked - just like the grumblings I hear today!

Does the non-appearance of Honda at the recent test give them reduced engine mileage and hence a possible advantage later in the season? Or are the miles in these tests excluded from the engine allocation for the season?

@ there there now

You know I do admire Jorge a lot but also all the other riders ...
Can't say a wrong word on any of them because they are all profis and the creme de la creme on earth!
I believe in "46" since he was a kid and this is not going to change!
But anyway, Jorge is the hell of a rider, I can tell you that for sure.

Comprehension my dear friend, comprehension. :) Linking a quote from the motomatters article was to illustrate that everybody does it (now), so the comment about Jorge "riding without the fricken horrible dangley legs" (as if to suggest that he doesn't do it) was misplaced. Rossi's data showed no change in his brake power, etc., so "for him", it's just a matter of feel (he claims that it feels natural to him). For the others, well.....that's anybody's guess.

@ Sick Cylinder

Good point about Jarno Saarinen.

10 years from now when they ask Rossi, why did you start the trend with the leg? He will say " i starta puta my lega to fak with everyone"

After doing alot of research and talking to riders, there is not much advantage in using the leg like that in corners.

@Realist:

Fair point it's feel with Rossi, but personally i believe a lot of riders are imitating because it's the in thing, and as for Jorge well i cannot remember him leg dangling, but maybe i am wrong.

addendum:i took your advice to register, but have not got a e-mail from Crash, how long does it take to arrive.

@Daniella:

On equal machinery, who would win between Jorge and Val
and do not be biased, tell the truth, or Val gets his heels taken away, also what's your real opinion on the Ducati bike he is riding and does your hubby support Valentino.
