vilas, what? Yes Lorenzo is beating Stoner by 20 points on the best bike, and your point is? And the tech 3 boys kicking his ass sometimes? You mean Dovi beat him once so far? And your point is? Even if the tech 3 boys do 'kick his ass somtimes', your point is?

What does this have to do with Stoner acheiving more with Ducati than Rossi ever has? What does this have to do with assuming that Stoner would beat Hayden by a bigger margin than Rossi? What does this have to with anything?

I dont see your point at all my friend.

What I think this demonstrates is any of the four aliens when coupled with the best bike will win. Last year the Honda was a standout and pissed on everything as Rossi said best rider on the best bike. This year Jorge has the edge as the Honda has problems and despite the new GOAT title it proves that Stoner is not infallible, and cannot ride around problems as much as people say. I get the impression that his skill at coping with the Ducati problems is in some ways a hindrance on the Honda (i.e. killing tyres). As for Rossi on Ducati, as stated if you take the view that the others kept moving forward while Ducati stand still as is proven by the steady decline in wins under Stoner that Stoner in 2012 would probably do only marginally better than Rossi and if Rossi were on the Yam well I think we all know teh result.

Oh no. It appears that one of the moderators are a big Rossi fan. They said in someone else post that this is not a Rossi v Stoner topic and also deleted the figures that someone put up (which were very interesting i must say) of the trend showing Ducati's results over the last few years.

Ill not mention Stoner but ill post those up as it was quite interesting (hopefully they dont get deleted because the 'rossi v stoner' post that says VR 9 WC and CS 2 WC actually stayed up even though thats a rossi v stoner post)......

season 08.....11 rostrums 6 wins
season 09.....8 rostrums 4 wins
season 10.....9 rostrums 3 wins

That is less wins per year but it does look pretty consistent and great results on the whole.

Then.....

season 11.....1 rostrum 0 wins
season 12.....1 rostrum 0 wins

In my opinion, VR was slow from the start when he jumped on the Ducati after the last race of 2010, so things dont go downhill with a bike within 24 hours, and then within a few months, continuing

......In my opinion, VR was slow from the start when he jumped on the Ducati after the last race of 2010, so things dont go downhill with a bike within 24 hours, and then within a few months, continuing for nearly 2 years.

Hmmmmmmm, is this just purely the bike, or is there a possibility that its the rider/s?

Ducati need to get a rider who is prepared to hang it all out instead of 2 'steady eddies'.
