@ Yousef

You missed the entire point altogether. The cherry picking was done ON PURPOSE to illustrate a point.

P.S. Rossi won 2 of those 7 premier class titles (not 5) while directly battling Stoner, Pedrosa and Lorenzo. He was also never finished behind Stoner except for Stoner's title year during that time period.

...and he has a total of 9 titles. Keep up!

@ Yousef, my apologies if you thought my post was having a pop at you.
Maybe you missed my point. I was trying to show that stats can be meaningless, it depends how they are used. I was also showing that the various posters' constant arguing about who can ride the Ducati best can also be meaningless, and somewhat futile.
I try to favour no rider over another but I do want Ducati to succeed.
Anyway thanks for the stats (and thanks for taking the trouble).

PS..Your latest stats COULD show that the Ducati got steadily worse in Casey's hands and then improved in Rossi's hands. Utter nonsense of course but you see what I'm getting at.

Nicky is in this thread as well. JB says that the data shows that Rossi is, at the moment, getting the best he can out of the Ducati which is probably no more than a 7th place finisher. So by extrapolation Nicky is as well.
Please let one of them put themselves on the podium in a dry race, and soon.

My commente was very clear.. How can a rider developed himself so many years worcking on the right way off future motorcycles him Yamaha suddently jump on that Sht bike like Ducati and just star winning? My Point about Stoner is also simple if he was so great has Valentino way he is struggling so much right now with Lorenzo? 4sure the Honda is much more esay to ride that the Ducati was.. Maybe he only win so clear him 2011 because of big gap made by honda on the 800cc because now that Yamaha are more close he only come with problems to Armpump Chatter Whant more?? All bet wih all brains here that if Stoner was riding the ducati of 2011 he would make worst job then Rossi only because i would get so frustated that he end up crashing iven more times then him 2010..

you guys dont whanted to admit but the realaty is that Stoner is just one more good rider, he will not be any GOAT has we know he will give up the fight.. And he will not win the title this year.. But ey you guys dont have to be upset he was a good rider to wach but he is not more then Lorenzo or Iven Pedrosa that can mach him and beat him.. And i will not wasting my time trying to explain the how Rossi was and is so Good because he had one curriculum that speaks for him

Of course you won't, because when pressed with facts that are against your argument you will pout and run away.

Stoner is not a good rider, he is a great rider. His statistics prove that.

Rossi is not a good rider, he is great rider. His statistics prove that.

What people of your thinking cannot accept is that during the time the two have raced each other Stoner is way ahead in the game of stats.

I could go on and on wbout the two of them but what's the point, you've gone into hiding right?

Let me further add to the point that ALL of the riders that line up on the MotoGP are great riders. You can claim sponsors get them the ride blah blah blah, but the reason they have the sponsors is because they have proven themselves.

This includes Abraham, who many slammed saying he didn't deserve the ride. Abraham has shown guts and have put up impressives results all things considered.

There's only one champ at the end of the year, just because a rider doesn't claim a championship does not mean they do not belong or are not worthy of the ride. The constant bashing gets old.
