HaHahaa. some of the coments are funny. Yes it is s great cause, but you guys are right, its not a real fender. I tell you, if it was a real fender strat, They would get a sh!t load more money for it. I personaly would bid $4000-$5000! , but not for a fake.
I will just donate some $$$ anyway. I dont need a silly song or fake guitar. (please dont take offence, Im entitled to my opinion)
Its going to a good cause.

Why has Crash.net disabled the like and dislike buttons?
This whole thing about Marco Simoncelli is an overhyped media coup.
YES he was very talented
YES it was a tragic accident

But riders die every year and before the accident if you'd asked the Joe Blogg UK race fan who they followed they'd say Rossi, Stoner, Bayliss, Haslam etc etc
Simoncelli would never have featured.

To think somebody asked his ex-girlfriend for an autograph? That is truly sick.
What did he say?
"I've never met you or Marco before, I'm sorry for your loss, can you sign this CD for me please?"

This is like the thousands of Muppets who lined the streets for Jade Goodey.

A squire strat? Cheap. I like guitar talk though.

I have an Epiphone Swingster. Very cool.

I totally agree with Jon M and I'm a fan of Simoncelli since his wildcard appereance back in 2002! I think it's enough now. Very nice that all these people are so supportive, but what Jon says is true...many riders have passed in the years before and never there was so much tribute as it is for Simoncelli. It has been 9 months ago now, maybe it's time to let go.

I can't believe these comments about the on-going memorial to Marco Simoncelli. OK so you don't give a monkeys, that's fine, you are not obliged to get involved. There are many others who do. A lot of good will come from the money that goes to the Marco Simoncelli foundation and I think it shows an immense amount of courage and dignity from those who loved him the most to do this. Cynicism abounds. As for the 9 month comment - that was just crass.
